Tyler Wiik went 3-for-5 with three RBIs.
After about a one-hour rain delay, Northern Valley scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning to secure a 7-6 win over Nazareth in the Region 2 Legion baseball tournament on Monday at Quakertown Memorial Park.
Tyler Wiik had an RBI infield single that scored Niko Fager and gave Northern Valley the lead in the ninth inning. Fager tied the game with an RBI double that scored Josh Williamson earlier in the ninth.
Wiik went 3-for-5 with three RBIs. John Taylor had two hits and picked up the win by pitching the last two innings. Josh Williamson went 2-for-4 for Northern Valley. Fager had a pair of doubles and two runs for Northern Valley, which moves on to play on Tuesday.
Kevin Wagner, Jake Trenberth and Cam Farmer each had two hits for Nazareth, which was eliminated from the tournament. Trenberth also scored two runs.
Cade Stoneback hit a solo home run in the fourth inning and added a game-tying sacrifice fly in the eighth.
