The homeowner told police he never saw the alleged trespasser before.
A drunken Nazareth man wandered into the wrong borough home and startled two people, police said.
Eric A. Weidlick, 37, of the 100 block of Mauch Chunk Street, just before 6 p.m. Saturday allegedly walked through an unlocked front door of a home in the 100 block of Wood Street.
Police said the homeowner was changing an infant and Weidlick's presence caused alarm to the homeowner and his girlfriend. The homeowner asked Weidlick to leave and he ignored the commands, according to police.
Police said the homeowner then threatened Weidlick with a pistol and Weidlick left. Weidlick later was found by officers walking along Poplar Street.
Police said Weidlick appeared intoxicated with a strong odor of alcohol coming from his body, constricted pupils, a swaying stance and an inability to finish sentences.
He was arrested and taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem Township for a medical evaluation.
Weidlick is charged with one count criminal trespass, three counts disorderly conduct and one count public drunkenness. He was arraigned before District Judge Douglas Schlegel, who set bail at 10 percent of $5,000.
In lieu of bail, Weidlick was taken to Northampton County Prison.
